Surah Name: Saad Meaning: Saad
Wama khalaqna a(l)ssamaa wa(a)larda wama baynahuma batilan thalika thannu allatheena kafaroo fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo mina a(l)nnar(i) And We-SWT have not created the heavens and the earth and what is in-between in vain. That is the conjecture of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve the Fire! (38:27) |
Am najAAalu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo a(l)ssalihati ka(a)lmufsideena fee alardi am najAAalu almuttaqeena ka(a)lfujjar(i) Shall We-SWT make those who believe and work righteous deeds like the corrupters in the earth? Or shall We-SWT make the pious like the ungodly? (38:28) |
Kitabun anzalnahu ilayka mubarakun liyaddabbaroo ayatihi waliyatathakkara oloo alalbab(i) This is a Book blessed, We-SWT have sent down unto you that they may ponder the revelations thereof, and that there may be admonished men of understanding. (38:29) |
وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُودَ سُلَيْمَانَ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ Wawahabna lidawooda sulaymana niAAma alAAabdu innahu awwab(un) And We-SWT vouchsafed to Daud-AS Sulaiman-AS. An excellent bondman! He was oft-returning. (38:30) |
إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَشِيِّ الصَّافِنَاتُ الْجِيَادُ Ith AAurida AAalayhi bi(a)lAAashiyyi a(l)ssafinatu aljiyad(u) Recall when there were presented to him at eventide coursers swift-footed. (38:31) |
فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ الْخَيْرِ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّي حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ Faqala innee ahbabtu hubba alkhayri AAan thikri rabbee hatta tawarat bi(a)lhijab(i) He said: Verily I have loved earthly good above the remembrance of my Rabb-SWT until the sun has disappeared behind the veil. (38:32) |
رُدُّوهَا عَلَيَّ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًا بِالسُّوقِ وَالْأَعْنَاقِ Ruddooha AAalayya fatafiqa mashan bi(al)ssooqi wa(a)laAAnaq(i) Bring them back to me, and he set about slashing their legs and necks. (38:33) |
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَى كُرْسِيِّهِ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ Walaqad fatanna sulaymana waalqayna AAala kursiyyihi jasadan thumma anab(a) And assuredly We-SWT tried Sulaiman-AS, and set upon his throne a mere body. And then he was penitent. (38:34) |
Qala rabbi ighfir lee wahab lee mulkan la yanbaghee liahadin min baAAdee innaka anta alwahhab(u) He said, Rabb-SWT ! Forgive me, and bestow on me a dominion, which no one may obtain besides me. Verily You-SWT ! You-SWT are the Bestower. (38:35) |
فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيحَ تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ رُخَاء حَيْثُ أَصَابَ Fasakhkharna lahu a(l)rreeha tajree biamrihi rukhaan haythu asab(a) Then We-SWT subjected to him the wind; it ran gently by his command witherward he directed. (38:36) |
وَالشَّيَاطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّاء وَغَوَّاصٍ Wa(al)shshayateena kulla bannain waghawwas(in) And We-SWT subjected to him the evil ones: Every builder and diver.
(38:37) |
وَآخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ Waakhareena muqarraneena fee alasfad(i) And others abound in fetters. (38:38) |
هَذَا عَطَاؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ Hatha AAataona fa(o)mnun aw amsik bighayri hisab(in) This is Our-SWT gift, so spend you or withhold, without rendering an account. (38:39) |
وَإِنَّ لَهُ عِندَنَا لَزُلْفَى وَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ Wainna lahu AAindana lazulfa wahusna maab(in) And verily for him is an approach to Us-SWT , and a happy end. (38:40) |
